This is a very easy to use low-cost semiconductor Gas sensor Module with analogue and digital output. This module uses an MQ4 Methane gas sensor as a gas sensing element. It requires no external components just plug in Vcc & ground pins and you are ready to go. For Digital output, the threshold value can be easily set by an onboard potentiometer. Using this module you can easily interface MQ4 Methane (CNG) gas Sensor to any Microcontroller, Arduino or even Raspberry Pi. Since this Gas Sensor module is sensitive to Methane it is also small sensitive to alcohol & smoke.
MQ4 Gas Sensor Specification:
- Detection of gas: Natural gas/Methane
- Detection of Concentration:300-10000ppm
- Input voltage: DC5V
- Power consumption (current): 150mA
- DO output: TTL digital quantities 0 and 1 (0.1 and 5V)
- AO output: 0.1-0.3V (relatively non-polluting), the highest concentration voltage is about 4V
- Using the chip: AT89S52
- Crystal: 11.0592MHZ
- Baud rate: 9600
- Compilation environment: Keil
MQ4 Gas Sensor Features:
- It adopts a high-quality double panel design with power indication and TTL signal output indication;
- It has a DO switch signal (TTL) output and AO analogue signal output;
- The TTL output valid signal is low. (When the output is low, the signal light is on, it can be directly connected to the MCU or relay module)
- The voltage of the analogue output, the higher the concentration, the higher the voltage.
- It has good sensitivity to gas and natural gas detection.
- There are four screw holes for easy positioning
- Has a long service life and reliable stability
- Fast response recovery characteristics
MQ4 Gas Sensor Pin Description:
- VCC: positive power supply (5V)
- GND: power supply is negative
- DO: TTL switching signal output
- AO: analogue signal output
Package Included:
1 x MQ4 Methane Gas Sensor Natural Coal Co methane detector For Arduino
